Nagina

The Nagina is a snake in the form of a woman. In popular belief the snake is associated with wealth, fertility and power. In tantric symbolism, the snake represents the primal creative energy or Kundalini, which lies dormant in the space of the spine, which, when aroused, ascends and activates the chakras of the subtle body.
It is also the title of a movie made in Bombay. In the movie, the Nagina, played sumptuously by Sridevi, is discovered by her mother-in-law in her true form.

AR Rahman did India proud once again as he bagged a triple nomination at the 81 st Oscar Academy Awards for Slumdog Millionaire, the rags to riches saga of an Indian boy from a Mumbai slum. Rahman was nominated in the Best Original Score category and twice in the Best Original Song section.
Slumdog Millionaire bagged 10 Oscar nominations at the 81st annual Academy Awards, getting nods for Best Film, Best Adapted Screenplay (Simon Beaufoy), Best Director (Danny Boyle), Best Original Score (AR Rahman), Best Song (Jai Ho and O Saya), Best Sound Editing (Tom Sayers), Best Sound Mixing (Ian Tapp, Richard Pryke and Resul Pookutty), Best Cinematography (Anthony Dod Mantle) and Best Film Editing (Chris Dickens). It's a merger of raga-based melodies with a Broadway-styled play.

It's a fairytale world that existed in mind of director Sanjay Leela Bhansali, a world in a state of the abstract and unattainable. Maybe in a state of Love..

It's Saawariya.  Based on Fyodor Dostoevsky's White Nights,that film has a certain studio-generated atmosphere and a certain colour that to represented the flavour of love. Sanjay Leela Bhansali desired to give Saawariya a poetic approach by visuals itself.Every frame of the film looks like a painting. Every song has been lensed and lit differently and stands apart from the other. The experience has been magical and fulfilling.
Saawariya is sheer poetry in motion.
